GEOS-Chem model adjoint

This website pertains to the original branch of the adjoint code, which supports the full chemistry simulation of GEOS-Chem v6-02-05 using GEOS-3 meteorology at the 4x5 resolution (Henze et al., 2007). The current version is ADJv27, with recent updates that include:

  While more information on the GEOS-Chem v6 full chemistry adjoint can be found below, several other people are now heavily involved in working with the GEOS-Chem adjoint.  An additional branch of the adjoint model has been developed by Monika Kopacz for the tagged CO simulation at the 2x2.5 resolution using GEOS-3 meteorology (Kopacz et al., 2007).  Further efforts at various stages of development include (but are not limited to): Support and development of the GEOS-Chem adjoint has clearly become a multifaceted undertaking. In attempt to focus such developments, we've created a GC-adjoint mailing list. If you wish to become involved, you should add yourself to this list by sending an email to geos-chem-adjoint-requests@geos.as.harvard.edu  with the word subscribe in the subject or body.
